 "Windows Home Server Vail" 2010-10-01
By JMB Photography (Just South of Richmond)
I'm testing Vail (WHS II) and wanted to build a new server. This fit the "build" we are running 10 computers from the server and it has not shown even a bit of problems, lag or being taxed. Very happy with the price and have not looked back (yet.)

 "Where's the 10 star option?" 2010-08-28
By Cody Howland
Intel has outdone themselves again. It is an extremely fast processor that makes computing so much more enjoyable. It has a base clock frequency of 2.66GHz, but with Turbo Boost, this CPU can reach speeds up to 3.2GHz without overclocking. I am able to multitask more and spend less time staring at an hour glass.

I use this processor on my high performance system, and everything runs really fast. From Roxio 2010 to extreme gaming, this processor does it all.

I guess the saying is true: "Great computing starts with Intel inside" -Intel Advertisement

"Small bump and as fast as the i7-860!" 2010-08-17
By BobD (The Villages, Fl)
This is the BEST processor for the money right now. It flat out performs with 4 complete cores (quad core). If your motherboard comes with a utility to bump up the clock speed to 2.8 GHz, it will perform within a hair of the i7-860 at $100 less cost. If you do not want to bump it, you will still never notice the difference from an i7-860 unless you use a sensitive CPU benchmark. Win 7 performance Index gives it the same CPU score as the i7-860 when both are at stock speed - it's that close. Highly recommended.

"The little processor that can" 2010-08-03
By Howard
Its amazing the value for money you get with this processor. I am stepping up from the Core 2 8400 and this thing blows it away. I was torn between this and the i7 860. Believe me, unless you are into serious media production..... you won't miss the hyperthreading. Save the 80+ Bucks and put it towards a SSD drive or a better graphics card.

 "core i5 750" 2010-07-21
By Rogelio Pamal
The processor is a must have, average price with great performance. The temperature at idle is 30-32 and full use is 40-42, but i install a hyper plus heatsink. The stock cooler looks.....cheap.
