"Great Case for the Price" 2010-05-12
By Michael A. Saxton (USA)
When my son's computer died, I had the task to build him a new one. Since he only uses it for a few educational web sites and some basic educational games, I knew he didn't need much power so I got this case, a MSI Socket AM2+/ GeForce 6150SE/ DDR2/ A&V&L/ MATX Motherboard K9N6PGM2-V2 7309-150, a Sempron LE-1250, Ultra - Memory - 2 GB - DIMM 240-pin - DDR2 - 667 MHz / PC2-5400, and a TR2-R1 Amd AM2 Cooler.

Everything fit "like a glove". The whole unit works great and has been running solid for about 2 1/2 months. The exhaust for the CPU cooling fan on the case lined up perfectly. My only issue with this case is the door covering the front access USB ports broke the first time I opened it. I really don't care much and other than that, it's held together fine and the power supply is more than adequate for the light hardware that I used.

 "Mini ITX Overkill" 2010-04-04
By shutterbug
I had originally wanted a Apex MI-008 which support a mini itx motherboard. However, after having received two mini itx motherboards that were dead upon arrival, I decided that instead of removing the old mb and reinstalling the new ones, I would just get a new case and begin from scratch.

The Apex MI-008 has only 3 bays, and is very tight. The Apex PC-319 has roughly 3X the amount of bays which is more than I will ever need. Plus, the difference in price was just less than 50 cents along with the free shipping.

Overall, I think that bigger it just better considering I have rather large and clumsy hands. Now, I can just take my time and leisurely assemble a new system. In the event I decide to move to a more powerful and bigger motherboard, I already have the space and means to do it.

For the price, excellent build quality. Most noticeable is that there is a lot of open vents on the case which aids ventilation. This is something that will at least last me ten more years.

I previously purchased some IDE to SATA adapters and was quite concerned whether or not they will fit on my old PATA hard drives and have enough room to attach the power and data cables without hitting the power supply. With the APEX MI-008, getting the necessary space would be a real challenge.

With all this space available, this issue is now a no brainer. I am extremely please with this purchase.

"Solid Case that works fine" 2009-09-13
By C. Hertzler (SF Bay Area)
This case serves its purpose and is pretty nice. I am using a full ATX motherboard and it fit with no issues.

The case had rudimentary directions. The needed parts were all there. As is common these days, not enough power take-offs to suit my needs but the power supply is not as bad as most in this respect -- I recommend having a few splitters and T-s available if you have a lot of devices.

The power supply is very solid.

I replaced the original fan because it was too noisy for my taste. Only 1 fan is supplied.

Buttons on the front are nice sized. The USB and front speaker connects are too close to the ground. The little door needs to be taken off to make these usable if you place your computer on the ground.

The sides work well and the case construction is not sloppy as many cases are these days. It is unfortunate that there is no clear side.

Overall, the case and power supply are functional if you want a moderate price.

 "Great for basic build" 2009-05-06
By B. Davis (Los Alamos, NM)
After reading the other reviews, it was clear this could fit the bill for a basic build.

When the product arrived, everything was as described by previous reviewers.

After the computer was operative, I did notice the stock fan is relatively noisy compared with the Antec Sonata III case we have. But that was ~double the price.

If you're trying to build up your basic computer w/o need for extra video card wattage, this is a sweet deal.

"Good thermal design but one minor flaw" 2008-12-06
By Asim Thakker (Melbourne, FL)
Pros

* Good looking case

* Nice Thermal design - Apart from 2 fans, it has an exhaust cup that fits right over the CPU socket

Cons

* The steel frame sockets for keyboard, mouse, audio did not fit my ASUS motherboard (I had to use my old case's frame piece to make it work)

Note: This has a 300W power supply so make sure it suffices your computing needs
