 "What I expected" 2009-11-09
By misaicman (USA)
Pretty straight forward install. Can already set with thermal grease making it easy to install. Haven't had it long enough to know it's quality, but it functions as expected. The only challenge I had was locking down the fan. It took a lot more pressure than I expected. I thought I was going to break the board. This was my first cpu install so part of my ignorance. It would have been nice for them to note that it would be quite tight. I had to call a friend of mine that build computers to make sure I was doing this right.

 "Really speeds up multi-tasking" 2009-11-04
By John Gross
I upgraded a HP a1600n from a 64 x2 3800+ to the AMD 64 x2 6000+. What a difference in speed working with videos and multitasking. I have not used a 100% of either core yet. Please note this was not an upgrade approved by HP. Windows doesn't recognize the processor but it is running great. It was well worth the upgrade and a lot cheaper than buying a new computer. If you have a stock 64 x2 proccesor you can upgrade your stock computer with this. My computer has the A8M2N-LA (NodusM3)motherboard.

 "CAN'T INSTALL" 2009-09-28
By Stuart C. Brown (Midwest USA)
My computer is Lenovo 3000 J115 bought in Nov 06. When trying to change out the processor (no problem) and then the heatsink, I find the fancy dual stage heatsink does not fit. The copper tubes do not allow the bottom heatsink to seat down against the top of the processor. Looks like i will have to replace the heatsink retaining frame. It is held down by 4 screws. Are they self tappers or do i have to get to the back of the mobo. Is there a new frame that will solve my problem? Where can I get it? Any part numbers?

[...] Thanks

"If you are going to buy an AMD x2, BUY THIS ONE!" 2009-06-03
By Hector Geraldo Antonio Aracena

The package came in a nice box with the following:

*The Processor.

*The fan with thermal compound.

*Manual.

*Don't remember XD

My only advice is that you buy an artic silver 5 thermal compound.

For temperature reasons i bought this case with a huge fan:

10-Bay ATX Computer Case with 550W PSU & 9.84-Inch Blue LED Fan
