People, for doing this over 10 years and AMD doing the whole shpiel about it not being "true" speed is crap. waste a lil more money toward a barton chip it is really worth it. they are ALOT more stable when overclocked! ALSO IMPORTANT: buy another cpu core cooler like a thermaltake volcano series where u can crank the suckers up to 4800 rpms!!! this keeps them from overheating the ones that come in box are not good enough.

People, if you don't know anything about AMD cpus don't buy them. If you bought it live with it. Otherwise buy Intel and be happy with it.

I agree with the previous reviewer. I bought this one because it was listed as a 266 mhz fsb and would work with my motherboard. On the package it says it has a 333 fsb. When I run AMD's processor ID program it tells me it's an AMD athlon xp 2000+ not a 2600. It runs at 1.660 ghz not the 2.13 as advertised. Wow, I paid over [$$$]for a .1 increase. What a bargain, not.
Amazon has been very responsive and helpful, but I want the processor that was listed and that I ordered!

I too wasted my time and ordered this product. It is clearly labeled as the 266MHz version. Instead I received the 333MHz version which will not work on my system. Now I'm waiting on a refund.

Wrong processor sent. Picture of processor and ad clearly indicate it's a 266mhz, yet package clearly shows it's a 333mhz. Thank you for waisting my time with a product that won't work on my system.
